mPassportSeva is the best mobile app to show you how to obtain your passport. Due to the Ministry of External Affairs adopting the e-Governance scheme for the issuing of passports, they have now released a mobile app for smartphones which shows citizens clear, simple, step by step instructions on how to obtain your passport.

The app offers a wide variety of services including tracking the status of your passport application, locating the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) to your location, and calculating the fees involved in getting your passport.

There is no easier way than downloading the app to obtain your passport. Just simply download the app and start the process of obtaining your passport, in easy steps.The Ministry of External Affairs states that at this time, users of the app cannot apply for a brand new passport; however, this functionality is coming very soon, so you will be able to get a brand new passport just through the app alone.
Currently, however, the app does show you instructions on how to issue a new passport if your passport has expired or if you have lost your passport.

The app also shows you the required documents you will need.It also shows you the nearest PSK based on your smart phone’s GPS location, so you can easily go to the location shown for more information or indeed to apply for your passport or indeed renew it.

The mPassport Seva app has a handy fee calculator so you can calculate the fees that you will need to pay during your application.

You can also easily track the status of your passport application using the apps Status Tracker, simply enter your reference number and date of birth and the app will show you the progress and exact status of where your passport application is.
